Full day canoeing trips are for novices and experienced canoeists alike, involving very small rapids, quiet channels and the vast open expanses of the Zambezi river.
Follow your qualified canoe guide in search of abundant wildlife on a full day canoeing adventure! In the dry season (July to November) elephant occasionally come to drink and wallow in the mud.
Hippos and crocodiles are always around. Kudu, impala, waterbuck, baboons, warthog are often sighted. Around 350 species of birds have been identified in the region; the wet season (December to April) is particularly good for birding.

Dress: Sandals or running shoes. Quick drying shorts, or dry clothes to change after the trip
Fitness Level: This activity is not strenuous but a fair level of fitness is required. You may wear your contact lenses on this trip. We are not responsible for any losses.
Pack: Personal medication if needed, sun cream and hat/cap. You can bring your small camera along. We have a dry bag, but we cannot take any responsibility for your electronic equipment.
Our overnight option will give you the true wilderness experience: camp on an island, sleep under the stars and enjoy a scrumptious dinner on a white sandy beach while hippos wallow in the river nearby. Africa at its best!
No previous canoeing experience is required by any participant. It would be best described as a nature drift down one of the great rivers of the world, where abundant populations of wildlife, mainly elephant, are regularly encountered on the banks or on the innumerable islands and where birdlife is prolific.
