Day 1-4 OKAVANGO DELTA - MACHABA CAMP
From Maun airport you will fly in the Khwai Community area where you will be transferred to the lodge Machaba Camp, on the edge of the Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana, is nestled amongst a forest of sycamore and leadwood trees. A perfect welcome to the green season with dramatic afternoon thunderstorms which are expected to provide much needed relief to wildlife and vegetation. Migrant birds arrive in their flocks and predator hunts are common as vulnerable offspring are born. Experience the vastness of the landscape beyond with a helicopter transfer to the Nxai Pan.
Head on the afternoon safari after your check-in and start exploring what the green season in the Okavango Delta offers.
Return to the lodge in time for a delicious dinner under the African skies.
Day 4-7 OKAVANGO DELTA - GOMOTI PLAINS
Based in a private concession on the edge of the Gomoti flood plain system, this camp has access to incredible wildlife and scenery.
Depending on the time of year, the floodplains can be explored by vehicle or canoe.
Day 7-9 - OLD DRIFT CAMP - VICTORIA FALLS
Upstream of the iconic Victoria Falls, on the banks of the Zambezi River, lies Old Drift Lodge.
The lodge boasts luxury accommodation overlooking the pristine Zambezi National Park, a mere 7 kilometers from the mighty Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
Old Drift Lodge is nestled within a wild paradise frequented by elephant, buffalo, herds of sable, eland, zebra, giraffe, kudu, waterbuck and impala.
Day 9-11 VERNEYS CAMP - HWANGE NATIONAL PARK
Inspired by safaris of the past, Verney’s Camp is situated in a teak forest that is synonymous with Hwange.
With views over a waterhole, the animals put on a daily parade as they come down for their evening drink.
