Enjoy a wonderful overnight canoeing trip spotting plentiful bird life on the Zambezi river, followed by a magical night camping under the stars next to the river.
The next morning a hot shower and hearty English breakfast are the perfect preparation for a relaxing morning’s canoeing in magnificent surroundings.
Discover hidden channels between many of the islands of the Zambezi River, above the Victoria Falls. In 2-seat canoes, equipped with a kayak paddle, enjoy a leisurely cruise, following your qualified guide, in search of abundant wildlife!
Duration: 2 Days, 1 Night
Start Location: Katombora Village
Departure Times: 8.00
Dropoff Time: 11.00 on the following day
Dress: Sandals or running shoes. Quick drying shorts, or dry clothes to change after the trip, clothes and personal medication for 2 days, sleeping bag, pillow and towel.
Fitness Level: This activity is not strenuous but a fair level of fitness is required. Minimum age 12 years.
Pack: Personal medication if needed, sun cream and hat/cap. You can bring your small camera along. We have a dry bag, but we cannot take any responsibility for your electronic equipment.
Pick up From Livingstone to Launch SitePick up 8 am from your accommodation in Livingstone, transfer to the starting point about 40 km upstream. Briefing, paddle the course of the river, stop on an island for lunch. Take out at around 17h00 at our campsite, where the camp is already set up and our chef is preparing dinner for you.
Canoeing the Zambezi River & End of TripAfter breakfast we launch our canoes and paddle a short stretch, take out and drop off at your accommodation in Livingstone (around 11.00
Return road transfer to the launch site from local Livingstone accommodation and the Zambian Border, after the activity.
