Overlooking the Okavango River
Divava Okavango Resort & Spa is one of its kind in the Kavango region of Namibia. The complete lodge, the restaurant, the spa, and the rooms are overlooking the mighty Okavango River. At only 1km away from the Popa falls, you get a natural soundtrack of these rafts in the background.
Discover the Okavango River and its surroundings on one of our Boat Cruises or Safaris.
We take you with our small or large boat down the stream where you will see hippos, crocodiles, an enormous variety of Birdlife and much more!
Our guide will tell you everything you wish to know about the amazing nature and wildlife in and around the river. Just before sundown we drive a bit further upstream from the lodge to the Popa Falls where we then watch the sunset with some refreshments and snacks.
Buffaloe game Park
The Buffalo Game Park is less known than the Mahango National Park but also defiantly worth a visit. The park has many narrow roads and is not always accessible as the roads can flood when the Okavango River is high during the rainy season.
Wildlife You might see elephants, buffalos, hippos, crocodilesa, roan Antelopee or one of the almost 400 bird species that have been recorded in West Caprivi, Namibia.
Game Drive It’s possible to do the game drive with your own 4×4, but we advise you to go with a ranger (guide) with one of our game vehicles. The rangers know the best spots and can tell you more about nature and wildlife.
Fishing on the Okavango River
Fishing is another fun and unique activity at Divava Okavango Lodge! Go out on the mighty Okavango River for a few hours and catch some on the world’s most unique species like Tigerfish, Tilapia and Catfish!
Mahango Game Reserve
This amazing National Park is only at 10 minutes drive from Divava Okavango Resort & Spa and offers you a perfect chance to spot four out of the Big Five!
Elephants, buffaloa, liona, and leopards are very present in this park and easy to spot. This park is much smaller than the Etosha National Park and perfect to visit for only a few hours. It is a must when you visit Divava lodge to make a turn in the park. You can do it with you own car and follow the roadsigns, or let us take you with one of our game drive vehicles, and our guide/driver will tell you everything you wish to know about this unique park and its inhabitants.
Popa Water Falls
The Popa Falls are definitely not the biggest falls you can find in Namibia, but they do provide a beautiful setting for our sun-downer boat cruises or islands dinners. The sound of the Popa Falls at only a few hundred meters from the lodge is the ideal soundtrack while relaxing in the Spa or enjoying dinner at our Restaurant.
