Day 1 :

Lusaka - Mfuwe, South Luangwa National Park

This 6 Day South Luangwa Safari starts with a flight from Lusaka to Mfuwe, near South Luangwa National Park. From Mfuwe airport you are transferred to Kafunta river lodhe where you will base your two nights.

Settle into your luxury room and relax at the lodge, resting up after your travels. Have lunch at the lodge restaurant and take it easy until tea time, at about 3:30 pm, when you meet with your guides. Over tea, your guides fill you in on what to expect out in the untamed bush and discuss any special interests your group may have.

Then it is time to venture out into the untamed wilderness that is South Luangwa National Park, one of Africa's top game parks.

We depart on our open 4x4 game drive at about 4:00 pm. The game drives are conducted in fully-equipped 4×4 Land Cruisers, customized for game viewing in Africa. The open safari vehicles are ideal for wildlife photography, offering excellent visibility and immersing you in the wild environment. Your professional guides track down wildlife in Luangwa Valley, drawing on their intimate knowledge, gained over years of experience.

As dusk approaches, we stop in a scenic location to enjoy sundowners while we watch the sunset. After watching the dramatic colours of sunset we proceed through the bush using a spotlight to find the way and locate nocturnal creatures in the fading light. As darkness falls our chances of sighting elusive nocturnal animals increase. Shy night time creatures we may encounter range from porcupines to leopards and owls.

Returning to the lodge we tuck into a tasty dinner and unwind at the bar or around the campfire. Tonight you fall asleep in a spacious safari tent next to the river, listening to the sounds of nearby animals and birds.

Day 2 :

- 5: Explore South Luangwa National Park

You will have three full days to explore South Luangwa National Park with some of the most breathtaking and untouched wilderness in Africa and a world-renowned wildlife haven. This Park is also renowned for its walking safari, which allows visitors to view elephant, hippo and even lion close-up under the supervision of professional and knowledgeable armed guides.

You will have two daily Safari activities , one in the morning and the other in the afternoon or evening . The Safari activities includes game drives and bush walks - game drives are conducted by professional and experience Safari guides.

Day 3 :

DAY 6: Departure

Today you will have breakfast and possibly your last shared morning activity (if time allows) and you will be transferred back to Mfuwe Airport for your departing flight and in Lusaka our team will be available to assist you with the onward flight arrangements
