Your qualified guide will row you with oars in a 6 seater raft, you assist with a paddle and enjoy a leisurely cruise, following in search of abundant wildlife!

Overnight Raft Safaris

Paddling and drifting down the Zambezi River above the Victoria Falls - this is a fun and relaxing trip. Watch the animals coming to drink at the river, and the beautiful riverside landscape passing you by as you drift down the wild Zambezi River.

Duration: 3 days, 2 nights

Start Location: Kazungula Village

Departure Times: 8.00

Dress: Sandals or running shoes. All you need in clothing, toiletries for 3 days. You need warm clothes in Winter (May to August).

Fitness Level: This activity is not strenuous but a fair level of fitness is required. Minimum age 12 years.

Pack: Sun cream, hat or cap. Sleeping bag (or hire from us). You may bring your camera along. There is a dry bag in the raft, but we take no responsibility for your electronic equipment. Personal medication if needed.

Itineraries

Day 1

Kazungula Village - Katombora Island

Pick up 8 am, transfer to the starting point at Kazungula Village. Briefing, paddle down from Kazungula to Katobora Island, take out at around 16h00 at “Bovu Island” in the middle of the Zambezi, set up camp and enjoy a scrumptious dinner under the African sky

Day 2

Katombora Island - Bovu Island

Packing of the camp after breakfast. Paddling along the banks of the river to “Bovu Island”. Enjoy a sundowner at the legendary bar at Bovu Island. Camping on the campsite. Dinner is prepared on the open fire.

Day 3

Bovu Island - Livingstone

After breakfast we pack up camp and start paddling downstream. We will have a pic-nic lunch on the banks of the river before we take out around 30 km before Livingstone. Transfer back to your accommodation in Livingstone where you will be dropped off at around 16.00

Pick up and transfer from and to your accommodation within Livingstone.
