Amanzi Luxury Safari Camp is elevated on a riverbank, overlooking the expansive Zambezi River in perpetual motion, an intimate and enthralling Zambian establishment. The luxury safari lodge is carved into the landscape, with the persistent flow of the river a mesmerising focal point. Here, wildlife is left to roam freely across the floodplains; elephants silhouetted against the shimmering sun pass regularly pass by, ignoring the grunts of hippo and shouts of the bird life as it meanders across the landscape.
Africa’s plethora of wildlife and birdlife is wonderfully accessible from Amanzi luxury safari camp. Game sightings from our teak sun deck and pool overlooking the river are common. Designed for a more intimate experience, Amanzi luxury safari camp boasts four classically styled tented suites, each connected to the main camp lounge and dining areas by raised wooden walkways.
Our suites are spacious and beautifully designed, with an indoor bathroom and private sitting room and covered balcony overlooking the river. Two of the suites are arranged to function as a two-bedroom family suite, making it perfect for friends and families wanting to share this exclusive and authentic safari adventure.
Amanzi luxury safari camp in the lower Zambezi is a classic safari experience, an establishment where land and leisure peacefully coincide.
The Zambezi River is perfect for gentle canoe trips. The current is never too strong and you can glide down at a slow pace, with plenty of time to look around and experience this serene expanse of water.
Not surprisingly, canoe trips are usually scheduled in the afternoon at this camp. Morning game drives are, of course, also provided. The comfortable 4x4 safari vehicles offer everyone an optimal viewing spot, and the experienced guides go above and beyond to offer you a memorable ride.
For those who feel like a trip on the Zambezi River isn’t complete without casting a line, catching a fierce-fighting Tiger Fish can also be part of your itinerary. The ultimate way to end the day is with a boat trip on a pontoon, as you explore the fourth largest river in Africa during sunset to view huge hippopotami pods and crocodile crowds, who call the 1,390,000 square kilometres of the Zambezi their home.
And now it is time to make this place your temporary safari home too: it has all the ingredients for an unforgettable, pure safari trip that will forever have a place in your heart.
