Livingstone Island Angels and devils pool swimming in those natural pools is an astounding adventure that enables guests to experience the ultimate delight on the very edge of the Victoria Falls
Victoria Falls is one of the world’s natural wonders and among the most spectacular sights in all of Africa, and the best vantage point from which to witness it is Livingstone Island.
David Livingstone first glimpsed the Victoria Falls after being canoed across to this very island situated in the middle of the Zambezi River at the very edge of the Falls.
The Island is a highly protected area that accommodates a maximum of 16 people at any given time and 80 people per day thus visitors are advised to book in advance for this exciting and adventurous tour.
A visit to the Island begins with a road transfer from your hotel/lodge to the royal Livingstone landing bay where you embark on a twin-engine boat that will ferry you on a thrilling journey on the fast-moving channels of the Zambezi for about 6 to 7 minutes.
On the island you will be given a guided tour, learning about its history from ancient times when it served as a sacrificial site to the present day and its World Heritage status.
A visit to Livingstone Island is seasonal as it strongly relies on the water levels of the Zambezi River and is highly recommended when the water levels are low to allow safe access to the Island.Follow Us On
